An afternoon at the circus

The Culpepper & Merriweather Circus came through town last Saturday with two shows at 2 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. in the area across from 220 Park Street, adjacent to the fairgrounds. Prior to the performances, kids were able to experience pony rides, a giant inflatable slide, the moon bounce and have their faces painted. Under the big top, circus-goers saw big cats, aerialists, horse riders, performing animals and much more. The circus was sponsored by the Thermopolis-Hot Springs Chamber of Commerce.
