Come meet your first responders

The Thermopolis Police Department is hosting National Night Out. You can meet your first responders on Tuesday Oct. 6 at the Hot Springs State Park from 6-8 p.m. Representing are the Hot Springs County Sheriff’s Office, Lifeflight, HSC Ambulance, Public Health, Emergency Management, Thermopolis Volunteer Fire Department, Wyoming Highway Patrol and Search and Rescue personnel.

Even though this is a national event, many other cities have canceled National Night Out due to anti-police sentiment. However, here they are not canceling.

Police Chief Julie Mathews said, “This is a community event and we want to involve them so that the community knows who we are in the event they need us. We are still here for Thermopolis.”

Come and show your support for your first responders. Whenever there is a crisis it is our first responders that come to help. Get to know who they are.
