Taking risks

People differ greatly in their willingness to take risks and an individual may be more apt to take risks at certain times of their lives than others.

Taking intelligent risks are sometimes necessary in the pursuit of life goals.

When we take risks we open ourselves up to a number of possible outcomes, some of which may not be desirable. However, stretching your comfort zone and exposing yourself to uncertainty can also be one of the best things a person can do for their future.

Both personal and professional risks can be hard but the rewards can be well worth it.

Recently, we have had a few new businesses pop up around Thermopolis. The owners of these businesses have been willing to take a risk and put their faith in this community. We thank you for doing so.

A number of people are operating small, home businesses to supplement their income and offer a greater variety of products to Hot Springs County residents.

Every business owner in Thermopolis is doing the same thing. They are investing in this community because they believe in it and they are offering us products we need to live.

As members of the community, let's remember to keep investing with them when possible. It is important to remember to shop local all year long, not just around Christmas time.

Be willing to try out the new businesses opening their doors and visit some of the others you haven't been to for awhile. You might be surprised by what you find.

Be willing to consider taking a personal risk that may expose you to all kinds of new life experiences.
