School board names intern principals

With the recent resignation of Curt Mayer as the Vice Principal for grades 5-12, the Hot Springs County School District is installing a pair of interns to the position.

For the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year Brandon Deromedi and Steven Soderstrom will be interning as principals.

Deromedi is the district’s activities director as well as a P.E. teacher at the middle school and Soderstrom teaches social studies at the high school and is the assistant football coach.

Holly Thomas, who recently finished her teaching program will begin substituting in Deromedi and Soderstrom’s classrooms as needed, starting January 1.
