4-H Horse Camp hits fairgrounds

4-H youth from across Wyoming will have the opportunity to attend the 2019 Wyoming 4-H Horse Camp, right here in Thermopolis on June 10 and 11 at the Hot Springs County Fairgrounds.

Youth will be checking in on Sunday night between 5 and 8 p.m. with a start time that Monday at 9 a.m.

The focus of the camp is to provide practical, hands-on training to improve safe riding and handling skills. Horse safety is a big part of the camp along with basic seat and balance, control of the animal, how to turn on its haunches, forehand, reining, showmanship and more will be taught during the two-day event.
