Vietti presents historical program

The Hot Springs County Historical Society will be having a special program this Saturday, April 13 at the Hot Springs County Museum.

Their meeting starts at 2 p.m. followed by the program Wyoming’s State Parks, Historical Sites, Monuments and Markers, presented by Barb Vietti.

Vietti was a State Parks and Cultural Resources commissioner for the state for eight years and has visited most of the parks and historic sites across the state.

There are 13 State Parks and 25 Historic Sites that are maintained by the State, and hundreds of monuments and markers, each with a unique story that would make a visit to them worthwhile.

The program will be a virtual visit to several of these parks, sites and monuments and will provide information on what to see and how to best take advantage of what our wonderful state has to offer.
