Independent Record giving you more news

If you’re a regular reader, you might have noticed we’ve started covering more than just the happenings here in Hot Springs County. Recent stories have included the notice of the ice fishing derby in Meeteetse, and this issue has a story about a plea change in the shooting of Levi King.

At the Thermopolis Independent Record,we believe it’s important to keep you informed not just about what’s happening locally, but to those towns closest to Hot Springs County, namely Worland, Meeteetse and Shoshoni. Additionally, we’ll also be running stories that involve residents of the county.

At this year’s Wyoming Press Association Convention, we also began a membership to the Wyoming News Exchange. This services provides some stories from around the state. While most are not about Thermopolis, Hot Springs County or our newly-expanded area, they do let us know about issues happening around the state and help us to localize those issues at the county level.
