Note cards feature downtown buildings

Main Street Thermopolis has the perfect gift for someone who has everything this year – notecards of historic downtown Thermopolis buildings.

The notecards were designed by Smoking Waters Art Guild members Gayle Phipps, Marcia Nelson and Sallie Wesaw.

There are two different sets of notecards to choose from with eight cards in each box, each featuring four different designs.

The notecards are $20 per set and are available at the Chamber of Commerce or at the Print Zone, downtown.

The cards are taking the place of the Christmas ornaments the group has sold in the past, however, there are a limited numbers of ornaments still available from past years.

The 2015 ornament featured the Klink Building, 2016 was Thermopolis Steam Laundry (Las Fuentes building) and 2017 featured Herrod’s Pharmacy (Messenger Law Firm building).

Main Street Thermopolis is in the process of compiling the results from their questionnaire that was available during Octobrewfest earlier this month. The questionnaire asked folks what they would like to see downtown and to give their ideas on projects the group could take on.

With Christmas fast approaching, the group has been spending a considerable amount of time repairing the Christmas decorations you see around town, replacing bulbs and fixing the wreaths that hang from the lightposts.
