One Eyed Buffalo in Thermopolis will be celebrating Learn to Brew Day on Nov. 3 with a special event starting at 10 a.m.
National Learn to Brew day began in 1999 as a way to promote the most rewarding and delicious activity of all time – homebrewing.
This year, One Eyed Buffalo is joining in the festivities with the California Common, a light lager they have been working on.
According to Kent Shook, the One Eyed Buffalo brewer, the California Common was developed during the California Gold Rush, brewed in open vats for the miners. Shook says this is really a true American brew style.
Shook will be demonstrating a technique called ‘brewing in a bag’ for everyone who stops in, starting at 10 a.m. and until finished with the process.
