Bike event in Hot Springs State Park

The Hot Springs State Park Bike Your Park event provides an opportunity to celebrate “Bike Your Park Day” with either a casual mountain biking or road biking with discussion of what’s available in the state park.

Park Superintendent Kevin Skates said there will be two routes available to riders — one on the pavement through the buffalo pasture, the other on one of the trails.

All ages are invited to participate in the event, and there will be a smaller course available for younger kids, which will be on the sidewalk around the main park area. Lunch will follow the ride, provided by the Friends of Hot Springs State Park and Legend Rock, and there will be door prizes as well.

Skates encourage everyone to come to the event, scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 29 at 10:30 a.m., depending on weather.
