Pitch, Hit and Run event Friday

Whitt Field will be home to the 2018 Pitch, Hit and Run competition on Friday, May 4. Registration for the event will begin at 6:30 p.m., followed by competition at 7 p.m.

Boys and girls ages 7-14 are welcome to compete in this free event, and there will be different age divisions for each gender — 7-8, 9-10, 11-12 and 13-14. All participants are required to bring a copy of their birth certificate.

This skills participation program provides youth with the opportunity to show their abilities. The all-around champ and first place winners in each age group will go on to the state competition in Riverton on May 17. All-around winners at the state level then have the opportunity to advance all the way to national finals in Kansas City at the Major League Baseball All-Star Game.
