Christmas programs at Hot Spring County schools

Part of the joy of the holidays is the music that goes along with it, and this week kicks off the first of the series of Christmas concerts at Thermopolis’ schools.

Tonight (Thursday, Dec. 7) the 5th – 12th grade band students will be showcasing the very hard work they have put into this year’s Holiday Concert.

The concert will be held in the auditorium beginning at 7 p.m., and will include performances by the 5th grade band, 6th grade band, 7th and 8th grade band as well as the high school concert band and the Bobcat Jazz Ensemble.

On Tuesday, Dec. 12, the choirs will be showcased in the 7th – 12th Holiday Choir Concert.

This also will be in the auditorium, starting at 7 p.m. with performances by the Middle School Choir, High School Choir and the Modern Performance Choir.

The much anticipated Ralph Witters Elementary Christmas program will be on Thurs., Dec. 14, also in the auditorium, at 2 p.m.

Risen Son Christian School will be having their Christmas program that evening as well, starting at 6 p.m. at the Risen Son Southern Baptist Church.

The theme for this year’s presentation is “The 12 Symbols of Christmas.”
