3-on-3 just around the corner

An event that has traditionally marked the start of summer for Thermopolis, the 3-on-3 basketball tournament, is just around the corner.

The Hot City Summer Slam will be held on Memorial Day Weekend this year, May 27-28 in the parking lot at Hot Springs County High School.

An event now sponsored by the Booster Club, all proceeds go to help sports teams in the district.

Final registrations are due May 24 and are $145 per team. At this time, organizers are expecting anywhere from 75 to 100 teams for the weekend event.

There are 10 different age divisions for both boys and girls including those 10-years old and younger, 18-30-years old and even an over-30 division.

A variety of vendors will also be on hand with plenty of tasty goodies to keep both athletes and fans satisfied throughout the two-day event.

Play begins at 9 a.m. on both Saturday and Sunday mornings.

If you haven’t registered your team yet, please do so online. Registration forms can be found on Facebook at Thermopolis Threeonthree or at bobcatboosterclub.typeform.com/to/Pa8XeR.

Team check-in will be from 5 – 8 p.m. at Dairyland on Friday, May 26.
