Bobcat golfers do well at home

by Cindy Glasson

The Thermopolis Bobcat golf team hosted their home tournament on Friday at the Thermopolis Golf Course, coming out on top of Lander, Cody and Kemmerer.

The varsity boy's team took the first three spots with Hudson Roling taking first with a score of 65. The Cats tied for second place with 83 strokes going to Caleb DeCroo and Jake Maksin.

Will DeVries scored 99 for an 11th place tie with Ty Hysell from Kemmerer, and Cade McLean finished out the varsity scoring with a 15th place and 104 strokes.

Logan Bartholomew played junior varsity on Friday, placing first with a score of 92. If Bartholomew had been playing under varsity, he would have placed eighth, showing good promise for the remainder of the spring season.

On the girl's side, Kaylee Smith had an excellent round, scoring 98 to give her third place for the tourney.

Kaili Johansen placed seventh for the girls team with a score of 120.

The teams will be heading to Douglas on Friday, weather permitting. If weather in Douglas isn't right for play, the team will travel to Cody instead.
