Georgie Scheetz-Place

Georgie Scheetz-Place, 63, of Thermopolis, passed away Thursday, March 23, 2017, at the Help for Health Hospice Home in Riverton.

Georgie Lucinda Wetherelt was born on January 5, 1954, in Miles City, Mont., to Glen Wesley and Hazel Rose (Olson) Wetherelt. She grew up and attended school in Broadus, Mont., graduating high school. After high school she attended Beauty School in Miles City, Mont.

She was baptized into the Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints faith in 2010. She lived the majority of her life in Red Lodge, Mont. She married Allen Scheetz and they had three children, Julie Ann, Roy Allen, and Lisa Lyn. She enjoyed fishing and anything that included being outdoors, and loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Julie Scheetz-Hockhalter (Eugene Ray) of Montana; grandchildren, Aprilleena Ann Stethem and Keeawna Lynn Stethem; great-grandchild, Kilynn Nichole Stehem; companion, Larry Place of Thermopolis; brothers, Wesley Wetherelt, Bill Wetherelt, and Allen Wetherelt; and nieces, nephews, and numerous cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Glen and Hazel Wetherelt; husband, Allen Scheetz; son, Roy Scheetz; daughter, Lisa Scheetz; grandchildren, Lucinda Rose Scheetz and Austin Lee Scheetz; and her grandparents.

A graveside memorial service will be held at a later date in Broadus, Mont. Memorials may be made to the Georgie Scheetz Final Expenses on GOFUNDME.
