Safe Sitter class Feb. 20

Babysitting is often the first paying job for many teenagers, providing a needed service for parents and giving the teens a few extra dollars to spend.

Safe Sitter is a daylong class for teens that have or are interested in babysitting. Teens will learn many aspects of babysitting from the business side to the many ways for the teen to be safe and keep the child that they are sitting safe. The course will cover child care essentials, basic first aid and how to be an all-around successful babysitter. The class is for ages 11-13. Class size is limited to eight students.

The one-day Safe Sitter course will take place February 20, at Hot Springs County Hospital starting at 8:30 a.m. and running until 3:15 p.m. For more information, call 864-3127.
