Cowboy music revue Saturday

Dan Miller’s Cowboy Music Revue just completed its twelfth season of summer entertainment in Cody, Wyoming. This Saturday Miller, his daughter Hannah, and Wendy Corr will bring their musical style to the Hot Springs High School auditorium.

Tickets for the show are $15 and are available at the Thermopolis Chamber of Commerce or at the door the night of the show. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., with the show starting at 7 p.m.

Miller has been playing music from a stage since he was in grade school. As a young man, he traveled around the country as a music entertainer, arriving in Nashville, Tenn. in the mid-1980s. His talents came to the attention of television producers soon after, and Miller hosted television shows including Mesquite Championship Rodeo on TNN, PBR Bull Riding on ESPN and The Best of the West on the Outdoor Channel.

Miller’s experiences on stage and screen, and his love for the west, led him to create a cowboy music show in Cody in 2005. Over 120,000 visitors from around the world have made this show a part of their Wyoming vacation experience. This summer the group was pleased to perform from the stage at the new Kuyper Dining Pavilion at the Buffalo Bill Center of the West in Cody.

Miller is proud to share the stage with his younger daughter, Hannah.

“Hannah was just finishing kindergarten our first season and now she’s in her freshman year of college and we’re still making music together. I’m thankful for every performance,” he said.

Miller’s friendship with fellow television host Larry Black has allowed for recurring appearances on the RFD-TV show, “Larry’s Country Diner.” Miller notes that at almost every performance of his Cowboy Music Revue, people in the audience comment that they came to the show because they saw the group on “The Diner.”

The band’s musical stylings range from cowboy to country, gospel and bluegrass. Miller is lead singer and guitar, Corr plays bass and sings lead and harmony vocals, and Hannah plays mandolin and fiddle as well as singing. “We’re very excited about the opportunity to perform in Thermopolis,” Miller added, “and I hope everyone will come share a wonderful evening with us on Saturday night.”
