Tiffany Mortimore interns with Sen. Barrasso

Tiffany Mortimore, a 2014 Hot Springs County High School graduate, spent her summer interning for Sen. John Barrasso.

Mortimore said she was assigned many projects during her internship.

"I mostly had projects assigned to me from legislative directors and legislative assistants," she said. "I was mostly in charge of doing the tours with constituents. We walked them through the capital. I learned a lot of history from that."

This was her first internship, Mortimore said.

"It was awesome to be picked for the internship," she said. "It was an amazing experience."

Mortimore received her associate degree in business economics from Laramie County Community College. She plans to transfer to the University of Wyoming where she will major in business economics. From there, she plans to have internships every summer until she gets her masters degree.

As for the future, Mortimore has great ambitions.

"As of right now, I'm looking into management consulting for corporate international type firms and hopefully I'll move my way up in those firms," she said.
