This last week some construction work was done on Hospital Hill for the new transfer station approach. The Bobcat boys golf team took second place at the spring golf conference tournament last week in Cheyenne. Bobcat golfer Hardy Johnson earned tournament champion shooting a 164. Hot Springs Memorial Hospital Foundation has announce they have been chosen as a recipient of a 2021 WBCI Community Grant to provide vital services in Hot Springs County. The grant was written and approved to provide $15,000 toward the acquisition of 3D Digital Mammography equipment for Hot Springs Health. LaVonne Evelyn "Bonnie" Nading, 77, died Thursday, May 13, 2021, at the Thermopolis Rehabilitation and Wellness. Born March 15, 1944, in Fayette County, Iowa, she was the daughter of Melvin and Muriel (Johnson) Nading. The family moved to Wyoming where Bonnie attended school in Casper. She was employed as a waitress in various Wyoming towns and later became a CNA with Home Health. Her interests were cooking, reading and going shopping. Thomas Roland Mills, 85, passed away December 29, 2020, at his residence in Thermopolis, Wyo. The youngest son of Anson and Doris (Francis) Mills, he was born at the family farm near Oral, S. D., on October 30, 1935, joining one older brother and two sisters. While still in his teens, Tom displayed a sense of independence, enlisting in the Army in 1953 and serving for two years with the 502nd Antiaircraft Artillery Battalion at Fairbanks, Alaska. George Fredrick Wingate Jr. passed away May 8, 2021. George was diagnosed with AML leukemia in April. He was born on July 26, 1941, to George and Mary Wingate of Tonganoxie, Kan. The Bobcat Booster club is preparing to return the annual 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament after missing last year due to COVID-19. Decisions were made by the Booster Club in March to bring the event back this Memorial Day weekend, the last weekend in May.
