    The Bighorn River Blueway Committee is hosting four public meetings to discuss the Bighorn River Blueway trail. The committee hopes to create and promote a blueway trail that would allow river enthusiasts to travel the length of the Bighorn River from the Wedding of the Waters to Bighorn Canyon National Recreation Area.   • New WDC exhibit

    The Wyoming Dinosaur Center has been closed recently while they updated and added new exhibits. One of the new exhibits is a giant turtle called Archelon Ischyros from the Cretaceous period. It is about 80.21-74.21 million years old. The specimen can be found in Weston and Niobrara counties. There are also possible nesting sites between Thermopolis and Anchor Dam.     Hot Springs County High School senior Jean Luc Willson recently won a full-ride scholarship to the University of Wyoming (UW). The university awards about 100 scholarships every year. As part of the application process, UW first looks at the student’s GPAs and ACT scores. Willson said they look for an ACT score around 32 and a GPA of about 3.9 or 3.8.
