Phil Scheel was elected as chairman of the County Commissioners with Tom Ryan stepping down into the vice chairman position during the reorganization of the commissioners for 2020. Kenneth R. Rogers Jr. was sentenced to 4-8 years with the Wyoming Department of Corrections after entering an Alford plea to one count of Sexual Assault of a Minor in the Third Degree, a felony. District Court Judge Bobbi Overfield accepted the plea agreement as outlined by a Plea Change Hearing Order. The state dismissed four other original charges. Allan Thomas Baird, 78, passed away January 1, 2020, at the Wyoming Medical Center in Casper. Born August 20, 1941, in Worland, Wyo., he was one of four children of Thomas and Edna (Rankine) Baird. In 1964 he married Pat McGarvin in Golden, Colo. The couple raised four daughters. They ranched on Gooseberry and Cottonwood Creeks for over 60 years. Pat died in 2004.
