On the Record policy

It is the Thermopolis Independent Record’s policy that all people arrested or cited under the “Accidents,” “Sheriff’s office” or “Police department” in the On the Record section are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Correction

On last week’s photo page of the RWE field day, Jesalyn Blair was incorrectly identified as Bradyn Weaver. The Thermopolis Independent Record apologizes for the error.

9:42 a.m. Report of lost prescription medicine.

7:27 p.m. Complainant reported a dog had come in his yard and attacked his dogs. The offending dog could not be located.

Friday, May 25

12:18 a.m. Report of an assault involving a firearm. The matter is under investigation and there was no further information available.

Saturday, May 26

12:48 a.m. Daniel K. Blair was arrested for alleged driving under the influence.

2:44 p.m. Wyoming Highway Patrol requested a deputy dispatch a deer struck by a vehicle. The animal could not be located.

3:56 a.m. A citizen was provided an assist with getting a vehicle.

Wednesday, May 23

12:33 a.m. Officer responded to a family fight. A subject was cited for public intoxication.

1:31 p.m. Report of a student running away from school. The subject was contacted and returned to the building.

7:09 p.m. REDDI report on a vehicle south of town. The suspect vehicle could not be located.

Thursday, May 24

9:27 a.m. Complainant reported a neighbor’s dog was using his lawn to defecate.The owner of the dog was contacted.

11:32 a.m. Complaint of roofing material blowing over the road. The responsible party cleaned up the mess.

12:28 p.m. Report of a vehicle with a child that was not buckled. The owner was cited for no proof of insurance and a child restraint violation.

2 p.m. A woman reported a missing trolley luggage cart.

Friday, May 25

8:30 a.m. A school reported a student missing a bike.

1:32 p.m. Report of a vehicle striking a parked vehicle in the state park.

4:16 p.m. Report of a four-wheeler being driven recklessly. The vehicle could not be located.

Saturday, May 26

12:45 a.m. Officer responded to a report of a verbal argument. The source of the noise could not be located.

12 p.m. Report of a truck dropping trash along the highway. The driver was contacted and said she did not know items were flying out of the back of the truck.

Sunday, May 27

12:47 p.m. During a traffic stop, an officer noted an open alcohol container in a vehicle. A juvenile was cited for minor in possession.

12:58 p.m. Complainant reported a vehicle with a driver who had been drinking. The suspect vehicle could not be located.

8:45 p.m. Amy J. Bintner was arrested on a warrant.

11:42 p.m. REDDI report on a vehicle south of town. The suspected vehicle could not be located.

11:59 p.m. Report of a suspicious subject, who could not be located.

Monday, May 28

8:58 a.m. Report of a stolen bike and scooter, which were later found.

4:01 p.m. REDDI report, which was later determined to be unfounded

9:40 p.m. Report of a vehicle all over the road. The vehicle could not be located.
