Erin Kreho of Thermopolis was recently initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines, at University of Wyoming.

Kreho is among approximately 30,000 students, faculty, professional staff and alumni to be initiated into Phi Kappa Phi each year. Membership is by invitation only and requires nomination and approval by a chapter. Only the top 10 percent of seniors and 7.5 percent of juniors are eligible for membership. Graduate students in the top 10 percent of the number of candidates for graduate degrees may also qualify, as do faculty, professional staff and alumni who have achieved scholarly distinction.

Chloe Galovich of Thermopolis has received the Midwest Achievement Award, Community College Scholarship and Visual and Performing Arts Scholarship to attend Southeast Missouri State University for the 2018-2019 academic year.

Galovich is the daughter of Pete Galovich of Thermopolis and Jamie Mathews of Fruit Height, Utah. She is a 2016 graduate of Davis High School and will be a 2018 graduate of Casper College.

Monica Hamilton received a grateful recognition of 30 years of service to the State of Wyoming. Hamilton works in Hot Springs State Park.
