Middle school tracksters headed to Best of the Best

The Thermopolis Middle School Track and Field team hosted the conference meet here on Saturday, and coach Stephanie Metz said the team had a lot of good runs. Fifteen team members will see action at the Best of the Best meet on May 8 in Lander.

Among the Best of the Best competitors are: Dazlynn Hunt in the 200, 400, 800 and 1600; Kaitlin Barral in the shot put; Ethan Music in the 100 hurdles and 200 hurdles; Jayci Basse in the 100 hurdles, 200 hurdles, 100 and 200; Lexi Overfield in the 800; Gavin Shumway in the triple jump; Elijah Skleton in the pole vault; Julie Johnson in the long jump and 400 meters; Hallie Martinez in the 1600 meters; Wyatt McDermott in the 1600, 800, 100 and pole vault; Landen Sosa in the 1600 and 800; Matt Music in the 800; Rylen Davis in the 100 hurdles and 200 hurdles; and Tristin Brown in the long jump.

Ayden Cox will also be competing in the 4x400, with McDermott, Sosa and Brown making up the rest of the relay team.
