William 'Terry' McCann

William Terrance "Terry" McCann, 59, of Thermopolis, Wyo., passed away surrounded by family on Friday, March 30, 2018, at Wyoming Medical Center in Casper, Wyo.

He was born to the late William L. McCann and Shirley K. Varilek (Gardner) on December 4, 1958, in Hot Springs, S.D. Terry grew up in Thermopolis with his mother, Shirley Gardner, step father, John Gardner, and his four siblings. Growing up Terry was active in the Special Olympics. He graduated from Hot Springs County High School in 1976.

Terry was adored by his community and had many friends. Terry always had a smile to share with everyone and a great outlook on life. Terry was always very kind and had a heart of gold and was very close to his family. He was especially close to his brother (best friend) and long time roommate Calvin. He had a special bond with all of his many nieces and nephews. He enjoyed coffee with friends, watching movies, and playing video games.

Terry is survived by brother, Calvin McCann; sisters, Pamela K. (Greg Scott) Snyder, Mireille L. (Ray) Nitchman and Jodie L. (Kenneth) Nading; step father, John W. Gardner Jr .; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Terry was preceded in death by his biological father, William L. McCann; and his mother, Shirley K. Gardner.
