TMS wrestlers wrap up season

The conference meet at Hot Springs County High School was the final competition for Thermopolis Middle School Wrestling.

Coach Toby Emery state, "We had an amazing finish to the season! The boys came out aggressive and mentally focused. They battled hard and left it all on the mat. I'm so proud of the progress each athlete has made throughout the season. We were able to crown four champs and place seven others in the top four.

"It was a great way to end the season, at home, in front of our home crowd. Thank you to all the coaches, parents, and fans for your continuous support this season."

In A Division 77, Ty Peterson placed first and scored 23 team points. Peterson received a bye in Championship Round 1, won in the Quarterfinal by a 3:53 fall over Adnan Khan of Lovell, won in the Semifinal by a 4-0 decision over Koby Swain of Worland and won the first place match by a 14-5 major decision over Hayden Paxton of Greybull-Cloud Peak.

In the same division, Dalton Price scored three team points. Price received a bye in Championship Round 1, lost in the Quarterfinal by a 22-9 major decision to Hayden Paxton of Greybull-Cloud Peak, won in Consolation Round 2 by a 3:24 fall over Micah Grant of Cody and lost in consolation Round 3 by a 3:47 fall to Jared Mangus of Lovell.

In A Division 110, Wyatt McDermott placed first and scored 21.5 team points. McDermott won in the Quarterfinal by a 16-0 tech fall over Eric Edholm of Worland, won in the Semifinal by a 27-second fall over Ghavin Vance of Cody and won the first place match by a 9-6 decision over Elijah Hernandez of Riverton.

In A Division 120, Roedy Farrell placed first and scored 24 team points. Farrell won the Quarterfinal by a 1:32 fall over William Thomasson of Cody, won the Semifinal by a 2:15 fall over Stetson Davis of Powell and won the first place match by a 3:34 fall over Ryan Watson of Riverton.

In A Division 132, Matt Music lost in the Quarterfinal by a 9-0 major decision to Aaron Carver of Worland, received a bye in Consolation Round 2 and lost in the Consolation Semifinal by a 6-1 decision to Noa Vega of Cody.

In A Division 145, Jarek Sorenson placed third and scored 14 team points. Sorenson received a bye in Championship Round 1, lost in the Quarterfinal by a 17-second fall to Asher Adams of Lander, won in Consolation Round 2 by a 2:05 fall over Landon Marchant of Lovell, won in Consolation Round 3 by a 6-3 decision over Zaryc Prosser of Riverton, won in the Consolation Semifinal by a 10-5 decision over Isaak Gaytan of Greybull-Cloud Peak and won the third place match by a 35-second fall over Aden Nicholson of Lovell.

In A Division 155, Cole Christiansen placed second and scored 15 team points. Christiansen won in the Quarterfinal by a 9-1 major decision over Robert Koivupalo, won in the Semifinal by a 4-0 decision over Nate Minemyer of Rocky Mounatin and lost he first place match by a 1:59 fall to Drew Trotter of Cody.

In B Division 70, Chris Bapst place second and scored 10 team points. Bapst lost the first place match by a 1:27 fall to James Langlois of Lander.

In B Division 77, Seth Needham placed fourth and scored eight team points. Needham won in the Quarterfinal by a 14-second fall over Justin Walker of Lovell, lost in the Semifinal by a 10-7 decision to David Long of Greybull-Cloud Peak, received a bye in the Consolation Semifinal and lost the third place match by a 1:35 fall to Creighton White of Lander.

In B Division 84, Ethan Crow scored four team points. Crow lost in Championship Round 1 by a 2:24 fall to Dylan Casdorph of Worland, received a bye in Consolation Round 1, won in Consolation Round 2 by a 3:12 fall over JD Rodriguez of Lovell and lost in Consolation Round 3 by a 6-2 decision to Jakob Hampton of Riverton.

In B Division 105, Luke Arcand received a bye in Championship Round 1, lost in the Quarterfinal by a 1:25 fall to Zach Schamber of Riverton, received a bye in Consolation Round 2 and lost in Consolation Round 3 by a 57-second fall to Alex Turner of Cody.

In the same division, Charlie Sandberg placed third and scored 19.5 team points. Sandberg won in Championship Round 1 by a 17-0 tech fall over Alex Turner of Cody, won in the Quarterfinal by a 40-second fall over Tristen Anderson of Riverton, lost in the Semifinal by a 7-5 decision to Jaiden Lloyd of Worland, won in the Consolation Semifinal by a 2:17 fall over Alex Turner of Cody and won the third place match by a 2:15 fall over Carson Asay of Lovell.

In B Division 110, Ethan Music Placed second and scored 10 team points. Music lost in Round 1 by an 11-8 decision to Garrett Tharp of Powell and won in Round 2 by a 6-1 decision over Oliver McKim of Greybull-Cloud Peak.

In B Division 120, Mason Reese placed third and scored nine team points. Reese lost in the Semifinal by a 1:33 fall to Jackson Long of Greybull-Cloud Peak and won the third place match by a 3:25 fall over Jerry Mason of Riverton.

In B Division 126, Aiden Cox lost in Championship Round 1 by a 22-second fall to Jed Oilar of Cody, received a bye in Consolation Round 1 and lost in Consolation Round 2 by a 58-second fall to Barrett George of Cody.

In B Division 138, Clark Emmett placed second and scored 10 team points. Emmett lost the first place match by a 1:20 fall to Rosendo Garcia of Lovell.

In B Division 165, Jack Whittaker placed first and scored 18 team points. Whittaker won in Round 1 by a 55-second fall over Tegan Long of Riverton and won in Round 3 by a 2-minute fall over Whitehawk SunRhodes of Lander.

The boys also competed a couple weeks back, at a triangular against Powell and Cody, hosted in Worland.

At the triangular, Seth Needham won by a 10-2 decision over Scotty Reidinger of Powell and lost by a 6-1 decision to Shayne Maxwell of Cody.

Ty Peterson won by a 4-1 decision over Simon Shoopman of Powell.

Dalton Price lost by an 8-0 decision to Hadley Mehling of Powell and won by an 11-9 decision over Moises Vega of Cody.

Ethan Crow lost by a 1-4 decision to Logan Jensen of Powell and lost by a 1:40 fall to Micah Grant of Cody.

Ty Peterson won by a 4-2 decision over Hadley Mehling of Powell.

Luke Arcand lost by a 2:15 fall to Ashe Aguirre of Powell and lost by a 25-second fall to Ghavin Vance of Cody.

Ryan Arends lost by a 9-0 decision to Ryan Cordes of Powell and lost by a 1:46 fall to Alex Turner of Cody.

Charlie Sandberg won by 9-8 decision over Shadyn DeGraffenreid of Powell, lost by a 2:34 fall to Trenton Hubbs of Cody and lost by a 0-2 decision to Dylan Campbell of Cody.

Ethan Music lost by a 12-8 decision to Adam Reese of Powell, won by a 4-3 decision over Emeleigh Dalton of Cody and lost by an 8-3 decision to Trey Thomasson of Cody.

Wyatt McDermott won by a 12-second fall over Cole Howard of Powell, won by a 6-2 decision over Keefer Thomas of Powell and lost by a 4-0 decision to Brady Deming of Cody.

Roedy Farrell won by a 52-second fall over Keenan Wenzel of Powell, won by a fall over Stetson Davis of Powell and won by a 1:19 fall over Will Thomasson of Cody.

Mason Reese lost by a fall to Blaine Jordan of Powell and won by a 7-2 decision over Barrett George of Cody.

Aiden Cox lost by a fall to Jack Van Norman of Powell, lost by a 40-second fall to Jed Oilar of Cody and lost by a 30-second fall to Kade Fitzgerald of Cody.

Matt Music lost by a 42-second fall to Kaleb Tyra of Powell, won by a 6-4 decision over Wyatt McKnight of Cody and won by a 13-5 decision against Zac Barton of Cody.

Jarek Sorenson won by an 8-6 decision over Kaleb Tyra of Powell, won by a 6-2 decision over Grayson Beaudrie of Cody and lost by a 44-second fall to Tyler Grenz of Cody.

Clark Emmett lost by a 7-2 decision to Cougar Williams of Powell, lost by a 2-0 decision to Jace Grant of Cody and lost by a 30-second fall to Noa Vega of Cody.

Cole Christiansen won by a fall over Lannon Brazelton of Powell, won by a 51-second fall over Toran Graham of Powell and lost by a 5-0 decision to Drew Trotter of Cody.

Rayne Arends won by a 1:59 fall over Weston Thomas of Powell.

Chris Bapst lost by a 15-second fall to Taylor Baggs of Cody.
