Specialist joins agency

This summer saw a new addition to Properties West, Inc. as Ben Anson joined the team as the farm ranch specialist.

Anson, who started in June, said he could cover any sort of agricultural based property through the Big Horn Basin, whether it be a hobby farm or multimillion dollar ranch, though his license is also good for the entire state.

Anson attended the University of Wyoming, majoring in wildlife and fisheries with a minor in rangeland and water management. He later attended Texas Christian University, majoring in ranchland management and focusing on best management practices of natural resources to make a living.

He said he’s always been interested in rangeland management and helping others find the best use of their resources.

From Basin originally, Anson currently lives in Meeteetse and is a full-time ranch hand at the Pitchfork Ranch there. But that won’t detract from his responsibilities at Properties West, Inc., he said, and his clients in the real estate industry will be his top priority.
