Diane Castle

Diane Sue Castle, 70, of Thermopolis, went to our Lord unexpectedly August 11, 2017.

She was born November 26, 1946, in Niwot, Colo., to Charles and Yvonne (Silkett) Snyder. Diane graduated from Longmont High School.

She met and married William Francis Castle in Boulder, Colo. They started their family in Los Angeles, Calif., with their two sons, then returned to Boulder and had their daughter. They lived in the Boulder/Longmont area until moving to Thermopolis in 1997. Diane was a loving and devoted wife for 49 years 345 days. She loved and cared for her children and grandchildren taking pride in their accomplishments.

A farm girl at heart, she enjoyed working in the garden and raising chickens, turkeys, geese and sheep. She was a wonderful seamstress and enjoyed knitting and crocheting.

Diane’s legacy will carry on in the hearts and minds of those she has left behind including her husband, William; sons, Charles “Tony” Castle of Boulder, Colo., and Robert “Bob” (Windy) Castle of Longmont, Colo .; daughter, Elizabeth “Liz” (Michael) Oliver of Thermopolis; brothers, Charles, Earl, Everett (Becky) and Kenneth Snyder; sisters, Charlyn (Allen) Randa and Karen (Tom) Austin; grandchildren, Gino, Vinchinzo, Luciano, Charlee, Bradly and Mathew; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and infant brother, Lester.

She will be greatly missed by those she leaves behind but will always be remembered as a wonderful loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
