Eastern Star chapter celebrates projects

Vesper Chapter No. 19, Order of the Eastern Star, celebrated two of their projects for the year.

On May 18, they hosted a carry-in dinner to present a $250 scholarship to Kaylee Smith, who will attend Central Wyoming College and plans to major in English. She will also play college golf.

At the June 1 meeting a check for $200 was presented to Captain Bobbi Zupan, to be used by Search and Rescue for training purposes. Those present enjoyed root beer floats and popcorn.

Both presentations were made by Tammy Smith, Worthy Matron, and Tom Smith, Worthy Patron, concluding a successful year of service. A joint/open installation of Eastern Star and Masonic officers will be Thursday, June 8 at 7 p.m., at the Masonic Hall. Vesper chapter officers will be led for the ensuing year by Jackie Powers, Worthy Matron, and Dennis Wilson, Worthy Patron. Wilson will also be installed as Worshipful Master for the Masonic Lodge.
