Kelly Grissom

Kelly Marie Grissom, 36, of Thermopolis passed away Monday, April 3, 2017.

Kelly was born July 21, 1980, to Mary and Danny Grissom. She was the first grandchild of Jim and Tuck Mills.

Kelly grew up in Thermopolis with her younger brother, Michael Grissom. She graduated high school with honors and received an accounting degree from the University of Wyoming. She began her career in Alaska as a Certified Public Accountant and spent several years enjoying countless Alaskan adventures. She had many wonderful trips salmon and halibut fishing with her grandfather.

There was nothing Kelly valued more than her family, so she accepted a job in Billings, Mont., to be closer to home. This move also brought her closer to her two nephews Danny and Mason who were the light of Kelly's life. You could hear the three of them giggling from blocks away.

Kelly had impeccable taste for the finer things in life. We will always remember her with a Coach bag on her arm, Uggs on her feet, a Tiffany bracelet dangling on her wrist, and blue hair.

Kelly's adventures led her around the globe to NASCAR races, European travels with her aunties, African safaris, Hawaii, Vegas with friends, convertibles in San Francisco, Disneyland with her nephews, and endless more. She was most happy with her toes in the sand.

She is survived by her brother, Michael; sister, Caitlin; brother, Zack; grandparents, Jim and Tuck Mills; nephews, Danny and Mason Grissom; niece, Rain Mary; baby Grissom; Chris Stolzer; and her many aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Mills; and father, Danny Grissom.

Father Randy officiated a Catholic Mass at St. Francis Church on April 7, 2017. A private family burial followed at Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Thermopolis Backpack Program for Children.
