Tour of Homes fundraiser scheduled for Dec. 19

People for People is a group of volunteers that provide meals every Sunday for those in need in Thermopolis. The group operates through donated funds, and has one fundraiser for the year — the annual Tour of Homes, this year on Monday, Dec. 19, beginning at 5:30 p.m.

This year’s tour includes stops at the homes of: Hope and Tyler Mead, Dale and Ciley Andreen, Stephanie and Josh Conrad, Lily Hayes, Jason and Stephanie Owens, and Dan and Margaret Stansill.

Judy Carswell said people on the tour go above and beyond their normal decorating, to make it a real treat for people. People can purchase tickets for the tour from local businesses at $6 each, and Carswell noted the money from the fundraiser goes to feed people for a year.

In addition to the homes on the tour, there will also be a live Nativity at St. Paul Lutheran Church on Highway 20 South. The tour is from 5:30-8 p.m., but there is also a reception at Thermopolis Middle School starting at 6 p.m. School staff and students, as well as People for People members, will provide refreshments.

There are also some community donated items up for silent auction, Carswell said, and a Memorial Tree which people can decorate with ornaments in memory of their loved ones. The tree will be later moved from the school to the courthouse.
