Oswald joins St. Francis Parish

The Knights of Columbus Council 2578 and the people of St. Francis Parish have welcomed a new pastor, Father Randy Oswald.

Father Randy replaces Father Hugo who was called to Lander to the Catholic College there.

Father Randy was born in Kansas City, Missouri and attended college at both the University of Kansas and Avila College.

Before attending seminary, Father Randy served his country in the U.S. Air Force and held several jobs, from a meat packer for Armour Meat to driving a forklift and working in the Aerospace industry.

In 1997, he attended the Catholic Theological Union in Chicago and was a Deacon at Holy Angels Parish in Buffalo, New York. His next assignment with the church was Associate Pastor of St. Peter Parish in Sisseton, South Dakota with additional service in New York, and Minnesota before making his way into Wyoming.

His last parish was Our Lady of the Mountains in Jackson before coming to Thermopolis.

Father Randy has expressed a welcome to anyone wanting to seek more information about the church and he, along with the people of St. Francis are eager to make the church a warm and welcoming place for all.
