On the Record policy

It is the Independent Record’s policy that all people arrested or cited under the “Accidents,” “Sheriff’s office” or “Police calls” in the On the Record section are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Sunday, Jan. 3

9:50 p.m. A traffic accident on East River Road resulted in minor injuries and no citations were issued.

Monday, Jan. 4

9:57 a.m. A search warrant resulted in the arrest of two individuals. Wade Grieve and Cindee Reynolds were both arrested for forgery and narcotics after law enforcement officials executed a search warrant. The investigation is continuing.

Thursday, Dec. 31

5:46 p.m. A resident called to report that a bag with strange contents, the responding officer determined that it was a container of ginseng herbal pills.

Friday, Jan. 1

12:08 a.m. A call reporting that a neighbor may be shooting a gun. The officer was unable to locate. Fireworks had been reported of being shot off through out New Year’s night.

3:30 p.m. Request for a welfare check on a child from an anonymous caller. The officer made contact and the child was fine.

Monday, Jan. 4

1:19 p.m. Request for a welfare check on three autistic adults that are alone in their apartment while their father is away having a medical procedure. The mother is on her way to take care of them.

3:05 p.m. A neighbor called and reported that there was a dispute next door. The officer found that it was renters moving out and they were settling up the rent.

Birth

Brennen Robert Cornwell was born Thursday, Dec. 31, 2015, at Hot Springs County Memorial Hospital to Amanda and Tanner Cornwell of Thermopolis.

He weighed 9 pounds, 9 ounces, and was 22 inches long.

Grandparents are Dick and Janet Dickeson and Pat and Brenda Cornwell, all of Thermopolis.
