Tall Cop comes to Thermop

Prevention Management of Hot Springs County will be hosting a special workshop on alcohol, drug use and abuse prevention featuring officer Jermaine Galloway, “Tall Cop”.

“Tall Cop Says Stop” is a program used for education, training and enforcement that all parents, school teachers, law enforcement, counselors, nurses and anyone who works with our youth should know and understand.

Galloway, at 6’9”, is an intimidating presence, however, he is devoted and passionate about the training and education he gives and has over 11 years experience in underage drinking, drug and alcohol enforcement.

Galloway will present his “High in Plain Sight” workshop, which details the current alcohol and drug trends and culture. The workshop includes information on current drug environments, what marijuana concentrates are, drug paraphernalia, popular culture and clothing lines, current alcohol themes, underage drinking and more.

The workshop will be held on Friday, Aug. 14 from 8:30-11 a.m. and noon-2:15 p.m. in the Hot Springs County School District auditorium, 415 Springview Street.
