Leona Elliott

Leona Mary Elliott, 78, died Sunday, July 19, 2015, at Presbyterian St. Luke's Hospital in Denver, Colo.

Born October 25, 1936, in Thermopolis, Wyo., she was one of five children of Jake and Mary (Mullendore) Elliott. After graduating from high school she attended Casper College for one year.

In 1958 she moved to Folsom, Calif. There she worked in the aerospace industry starting as a secretary and retiring 30 years later in a managerial position. She returned to Thermopolis being active in the community, Relay for Life in charge of the annual sale of daffodils, Eastern Star Vesper Chapter #19, and Holy Trinity Church. Leona enjoyed family and friends.

She is survived by her sister, Lila Boss of Thermopolis; brother, Larry (Davena) Elliott of Buffalo; and several nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Jake and Duane; sisters-in-law, Ann Elliott and Shirley Johnson; and brother-in-law, Ray Boss.

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 27, 2015 11:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church with the Reverends Joe Galligan, Lin Davenport and Ron Philips officiating. Burial will follow at Monument Hill conducted by the Eastern Star.
