Saturday, May 30

4:32 a.m. Firefighters responded to a CO2 alarm at 1218 Broadway Street.

Saturday, June 6

1:04 a.m. Firefighters responded to a fire alarm coming from Ralph Witters Elementary School and the administration building.

Sheriff’s office

Tuesday, June 2

11:21 a.m. A person spilled their iced tea in their lap. While trying to clean up, they drove their vehicle into a parked vehicle.

Friday, June 5

8:23 a.m. Someone reported a truck driving through their property that wasn’t authorized to do so. Deputies were unable to locate the vehicle.

4:13 p.m. Brian Sonesen, 45, was arrested for probation revocation.

8:26 p.m. A vehicle struck a deer near mile marker 2 on Highway 120 West.

11:25 p.m. Lara Halbert was arrested for probation revocation.

Saturday, June 6

12:27 a.m. Forrest Whiteman, 51, was arrested for driving under the influence and was cited for failure to show insurance.

Sunday, June 7

9 p.m. A driver lost their trailer when it came unhitched. The trailer ended up in a ditch and was damaged.

Monday, June 8

3:18 p.m. A person reported to police that someone may have been defacing rocks with paint. It was actually color residue from weed killer.

Tuesday, June 2

7:17 a.m. Someone called the police about an overgrown lawn. The address given to police didn’t exist.

7:18 a.m. Someone called the police about an overgrown lawn. The lawn was mowed.

8:37 a.m. Someone called the police about an overgrown lawn. A notice was left on the owners door and the lawn was mowed.

8:49 a.m. Someone called the police about an overgrown lawn. The owner was contacted and they said it would be mowed.

9:04 a.m. Someone called the police about an overgrown lawn. A letter was sent to the property owner.

12:50 p.m. Someone called the police about an overgrown lawn. A letter was sent to the property owner.

2:47 p.m. A man was going door-to-door selling laundry products. Police were informed and they talked with the man and informed him he needed a permit from the town.

3:28 p.m. Someone was working on a home and tar paper blew off the roof. Police tried to contact the property owner but were unable to make contact.

3:35 p.m. Someone called the police about an overgrown lawn. A letter was sent to the property owner.

3:48 p.m. A person was served a notice of trespass from a local business.

4:07 p.m. Someone wanted to report an incident of harassment that happened on Facebook. People were posting about parents having given their child a tattoo. Police found the incident was not harassment. The Department of Family Services also found it to not be harassment.

6:18 p.m. A person went to the police and asked for a trespass notice to be served against a person living in their home. Police told the woman that the man would have to be evicted if she wanted him removed. She said she was fed up with the man and he drank too much.

The couple had gone to the bank when the man had said he needed money for alcohol. She took him to the bank and withdrew $30 for him to buy alcohol. That was not enough money in his mind, so he stole her phone and tried to steal her keys. She wouldn’t give them to him so he held her down to get them. During the scuffle he bit her on the cheek.

Police ran into the man later. They contacted probation and parole. Probation and parole said to do an arrest and hold for suspected liquor use. The man’s residence was searched.

Corey Coriddi, 27, was arrested for domestic battery.

Thursday, June 4

1:26 a.m. A person left the hospital and was reported as missing because they didn’t tell anyone they were leaving. An officer found the person and talked them into going back to the hospital. The person went back to the hospital and said they didn’t want to stay there that night. A nurse explained that if they left that night insurance wouldn’t cover their procedure. The person decided to stay at the hospital.

6:14 p.m. A vehicle backed out of a driveway and hit another vehicle.

10:20 p.m. Someone reported their wallet stolen. They found it on the floor of their vehicle.

11:06 p.m. Someone reported fireworks going off in the 500 block of north Clark. Police were unable to locate who was shooting off the fireworks.

11:20 p.m. People were driving home from playing the game Fugitive, and noticed they were being followed by someone aiming a spotlight at them. They were told by police to go to the Law Enforcement Center. Police found the light was being shined by a person who was tired of people playing on his lawn.

11:38 p.m. Police were called about a group of children who were being really loud. They were gone when officers arrived.

Friday, June 5

2:19 p.m. Kelli Donahoo, 42, was arrested on a warrant from Johnson County.

7:50 p.m. Someone thought they saw a drug transaction happening out of a vehicle. When police arrived, no vehicle matching the description was located.

Saturday, June 6

1:05 a.m. Police received a noise complaint. An officer went to investigate. When he got to the apartment the noise was coming from, the tenant was not there but their friends were. They were asked to keep the noise down.

1:47 a.m. Someone called the police to report their vehicle as stolen. The person was passing through town with their friend. The friend had drank a bottle of vodka and went to the store to get more. When the person fell asleep, the friend took the car to the bar. The person awoke and reported the car as stolen. Police located the car and picked the man up to get his vehicle.

3:54 a.m. A person called police after their friend, who had earlier taken their car, was pounding on their motel room door. Police found the man behind the motel.

Ryan Rallfs, 34, was arrested for public intoxication.

Monday, June 8

2:17 p.m. Someone reported a disturbance. Police responded but were unable to locate the disturbance.

7:13 p.m. An officer was leaving the Law Enforcement Center. A man asked the officer what he needed to do to get arrested.

Brandon Kirl, 34, was arrested for public intoxication.

7:34 p.m. Someone reported a threat by another person in another state. They were told that a previous landlord’s father was going to come and kill them. Police were contacted so that a report was on file.

Circuit court

Robert Lawson had his bond set at $750 following his arrest for use of a controlled substance. His pretrial hearing is set for June 19.

Corey Coriddi has a pretrial hearing June 19 following his arrest for domestic battery.

Robert Bjornson had is bond set at $2,500 following his arrest for domestic battery. His pretrial hearing is set for June 19.

Brian Keith Sonesen had his bond set at $750 cash following his arrest for probation revocation. He has a bench trial set for June 19.

Forest Martin Whiteman had his bond set at $1,000 cash following his arrest for driving under the influence.

Ryan Richard Rallfs had his breach of peace charge dismissed.

Jeff Schroeder was found not guilty by a jury on his original charge of breach of peace.
