Awards night Monday

Hot Springs County High School and the Bobcat Athletics Hall of Fame will be honoring all sports and activities for the 2014-15 school year and induct the latest class for the Bobcat Hall of Fame on Monday, May 28.

Parents and students will gather for a dinner before the program at 5 p.m. with the program to begin in the auditorium at 6 p.m.

Each of the coaches from the various sports and activities will give a recap of their seasons before the Hall of Fame induction.

This year’s inductees include Allen Bucher, a three-sport letterman for the Bobcats from 1977 to 1980. Bucher is currently the Senior Executive and Co-owner of Advanced Solutions, Inc. in Littleton, Colorado.

Special contributor inductee, Mark Whitt, served as the “Voice of the Bobcats” from 1998 to 2012, broadcasting football and basketball games.

The 2004 boys basketball team will also be inducted. The team is acknowledged as one of the greatest in Wyoming basketball history. Team members included James VanHeule, Logan Stevenson, Jake Schmidt, Brant Kummerfeld, AJ Grieve, Blaine Christensen, Nathan Miller, Kyle Lash, Matt Larson, Brian Fuchs, Gary Benefiel and Matt Cordingly.

Their coaches were Mike Ibach, Parke Price and Pete Hoffman.

Everyone is invited to attend the evening’s event.
