Patricia 'Pat' Spatz

February 15, 1928 - April 20, 2015

Patricia Ann (Dodge) Spatz, 87 of Lexington, Ky. passed away Monday April 20, 2015, while visiting her daughter near Paducah, Ky.

She was born in Casper, Wyo. on Feb. 15, 1928. She graduated from Hot Springs County High School and worked at Empire State Oil Co. until she married Raymond Spatz in 1948. They were transferred to Ashland, Ky. in 1973, later moving to Lexington, Ky.

She was member of Maxwell Street Presbyterian Church. She wrote a monthly newsletter of church notes and cheer for shut-ins as MSPW Faith Coordinator.

She is survived by her two children, Curtis R. Spatz of Florence, Ky. and Polly Ann Courter of Calvert City, Ky.; eight grandchildren, Jason Douglas Valentine of Thermopolis, Darin Michael and Emily Patricia Valentine of Paducah, Ky., Joe Odle, Florence and Julie Rose, Sarah Ray, Polly Marie, Desiree Danielle and Cody Raymond Spatz of Florence, Ky.; two great-grandchildren, Aidan Michael and Hunter Atticus Valentine ofThermopolis; brother, John Dodge of Thermopolis; and two sisters, Jerry Brown of Thermopolis, and Betty Jean Gwynn of Buena Vista, Colo.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1990; her parents Elijah C. Dodge and Rose (Borchers) Dodge; and several brothers and sisters.

Funeral arrangements were handled by Hughes Funeral Home of Paducah and Mortimore Funeral Home, with burial at Monument Hill Cemetery.

Donations in her memory to Maxwell Street Presbyterian Church, 180 East Maxwell St., Lexington, KY 40508.

Funeral services will be held at the Community Federated Church in Thermopolis on Tuesday, April 28th at 10 a.m.
