    by Mark Dykes The Hot Springs County High School girls cross country team came home winners last Friday, taking first at the Absaraka Conference Meet in Douglas with 36 points, beating out second place Newcastle's 70. Other teams competing at the meet were: Douglas - 71; Worland - 84; Buffalo - 106; and Wheatland - 163. The girls also had three finishers in the top 10, with Jules Ward in first place at 20:09.56, Tahja Hunt in second at 21:31.38 and McKenna Bomengen at fourth with 21:48.50....

    by Mark Dykes Some great touchdown runs and a two-point conversion put up 14 points for the Bobcats Football team in the Friday night match against the Dogies. However, the points came late in the game, and weren't enough to match the 50 Newcastle put up in the first half. The 'Cats were able to keep on the Dogies, though, keeping them from scoring any more in the second. Turnovers - both in fumbles and interceptions - made it difficult for the Bobcats to move the ball in their favor early on....

McKittrick noted the team's losses to Worland and Wind River, but pointed out the team did well against Burns, winning 14-0.
