    The sixth annual Harvest Moon Ball is set to be held Saturday, Nov. 12 at the Hot Springs County Fair Building. Each year the ball features dancing, food, and the announcement of the Ag Citizen of the Year, Rising Star award and the Century Ranch. Nominations for the awards are still open. The Ag Citizen nominee must be presently active in the agricultural industry as a farmer, rancher or agri-business person.     Enrollment numbers for the Hot Springs County School District have remained fairly steady from last year, gaining 15 students since the end of classes this spring. First grade, fourth grade and sixth grade have each gained one student since last spring, while the seventh grade, eighth grade and junior class at the high school have each lost a single student.     The Lady Cats volleyball team took on Newcastle this weekend, whipping up on the Dogies 25-17, 25-13 and 27-25. Coach Shannon Hill said it took the girls a minute to settle into their play during the first game.     Last spring, Becky Martinez and her middle school career and technical class planted potatoes in a small plot near the school. On Friday, the potatoes were dug up, cleaned off, and moved into the classroom to be weighed. Each of the students in Martinez' class made a guess as to the weight of their crop before doing the actual weighing, with the student closest to the mark receiving a prize.     Boys and girls from six to 15 are invited to come participate in the annual Punt, Pass and Kick competition on Monday, Oct. 3.
