    Monday afternoon in District Court, Darren Dumas was sentenced to a total five to 10 years in the state penitentiary. Dumas was sentenced on three charges, including failure to register as a sex offender, strangulation of a household member and domestic violence-battery. The strangulation and domestic violence charges state he beat Christy Dumas from Sept. 23-26 and impeded her breathing on Sept. 26. Ray Arey, explained he was flying a 1946 Ercoupe for a friend, taking the plane from the old air port to the new, when the engine quit on him. He was the only occupant of the plane.     Monday afternoon in District Court, Kristy Samples entered a “no contest” plea to a charge of taking records without permission and was sentenced to five years supervised probation. Two members of the team went to Powell for their Invitational on Thursday and Friday of last week – returning State Champion Hudson Roling and Cade McLean. Roling scored a 73 the first day of play followed by a 76 the second day. This put him in second place for the tournament.
