Beulah Maude Waggener (Craven)

Beulah Maude Waggener (Craven), 99,  joined the stars on July 14, 2023, after passing away peacefully in Thermopolis, Wyo.

Beulah was the only daughter of Richard Jay and Mary Alberta Hill Craven. She was born on March 23, 1924 in Allendale, Mo., and raised in Tarkio, Mo .; a place that she cherished for the entire length of her life. After finishing Tarkio College, Beulah relocated to Denver, Colo., where she met her husband, Hubert Ulrich (Ric) Waggener. The couple was married on October 2, 1952. Beulah worked briefly as a teacher before staying home to raise her four children.

She is survived by her loving children, Judy (Bill) Bruce, Scott Waggener, Kirk (Marian) Waggener, and Sandra Waggener (Gina Rosenthal). She leaves behind six grandchildren and five great-granddaughters. She was loved by many but held a special place in her heart for her nieces and nephews, The McMillan family and her South Gaylord neighbors in Denver.

Beulah was preceded in death by her husband, Ric Waggener; her parents; and four brothers. Additionally, her very special family members, Florence, Jack and David McMillan who loved and supported her throughout her youth and adulthood.

Beulah found peace and comfort working in her yard on South Gaylord Street. She could always be found weeding in the back or using her dish water to water her beautiful yard. She enjoyed her phone conversations with cherished individuals. Most importantly, she believed strongly in the power of education and learning new things regardless of your age or circumstances. She was an independent and resilient woman throughout the course of her life. Her strength and determination were evident up until the very end. She will be immensely missed by those who knew and loved her; her family and her communities will not be the same without her.

Mortimore Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Messages may be offered at http://www.mortfh.com.
