Thank you to former park superintendent

I would like to say that Thermopolis has a Real Hometown hero in a gentle man who kept people coming to this small community year after year and telling their friends and family of the ‘Little Secret’ they discovered at the north end of the Wind River Canyon drive. (Another secret unto itself!)

After being here for over 15 years and quietly watching him perform his daily duties, sometimes against extreme situations, dealing with weather, animals and yes, even other people, I would say he had a very stressful position for many years.

When you never know what is coming at you daily form the local lovers of the perfect (from my personal observations).

If any reading this are not yet following the story, I am taking my hat off to the retired manager of what is called Wyoming’s Number One State Park right here in Thermopolis. And the Gentle Man and gentle man that comes to mind goes by the handle, not Mr., but just Kevin Skates.

When you see him, do not be afraid to thank him for all he did and still does for your community. Thank you.
