Bobcats get aggressive

It was a big win for the Bobcats Friday night, winning their Homecoming match against the Moorcroft Wolves 68-0.

Coach Mathew McPhie said, “The team played aggressive and sound football all night. It was a break-out night for both sides of the ball. The team racked up 493 yards of offense including 390 yards of rushing. Seven different players scored touchdowns for the team!

“Duder Harvey led the way with 3 passing touchdowns and added a rushing touchdown on a 65 yard scamper. Logan Cole had 3 touchdowns, two on the ground and one receiving. Jase Longwell had 143 yards rushing and also added two touchdowns. Blake Williams, Cade McLean, Jarron Mortimore, and Roedy Farrell also added touchdowns on the night.”

Defensively, McPhie added, the team recorded their first shut-out on the season.

“Blake Williams led the charge with two interceptions on the night! Blake is really becoming a good football player. He’s a tough kid, he plays with passion on each play, and we are lucky he is a Bobcat.

“Jarron Mortimore had a good night for the defense. He had four tackles for loss including two sacks. Logan Cole and Jesse Skelton also stepped up and had solid nights for the defense.

“Jorge Aguirre had a good night kicking. He made eight out of 10 PAT’s. Jorge is an exchange student. I’m not sure who we exchanged him for, but we’re real glad to have him.”

This week the Bobcats will host Mountain View, Friday starting at 7 p.m.
