McPhie named All Conference

The Wyoming High School Activities Association (WHSAA) recently announced the All State and All Conference choices for the 2018 girls volleyball season and the Lady Bobcat’s Ashley McPhie made the All Conference team.

McPhie’s statistics for the year speak volumes toward her selection, with 24 matches played.

She has played 61 sets, has 600 attack attempts, 154 total kills, 225 serves, 32 served aces, 222 digs, 18 blocks and a serve/receive average of 1.9.

“Ashley (McPhie) is our most consistent, well rounded player,” said head coach Shannon Hill. “She could play just about anywhere I needed her, even as the setter.

“Her work ethic and passion for this sport is contagious, as she increases the level of play of those around her through her constant intensity and communication. Ashley plays with a level head and earned herself a captain position on our team.

“Ashley also is an amazing mentor to our younger girls and I always hear the underclassmen say, ‘I wish I could play like Ashley.’”
