Ambassadors welcome new businesses

Among the services offered through the Thermopolis-Hot Springs Chamber of Commerce, providing resources for businesses is among them. The Hot Springs County Chamber Ambassadors, a branch of the chamber, help to welcome not only new businesses in the community, but also change in staff as well.

Unfortunately, businesses sometimes come and go, or changes happen, without any of the ambassadors knowing. Chamber Executive Director Meri Ann Rush encourages anyone who knows of a new business, new manager or home-based business to contact the chamber office so they can be put on a list for a visit from the ambassadors. “If we don’t know about it,” she said, “we can’t do it.”

Rush further explained the ambassadors acknowledge any new business, new manager, remodel or relocation. Meetings are at noon the last Wednesday of each month, at local restaurants. Ambassadors also team up with the chamber to have a float in local parades.

Currently there are 16 ambassadors, and those interested in joining the group can contact the chamber at 864-3192. Rush said people can also call if they have any information about new businesses, at-home businesses, management changes or groundbreakings, or if they would just like the ambassadors to visit.
