WJRA rodeo comes to town

The fairgrounds will be hopping with the younger cowboys and cowgirls on Saturday and Sunday, as the Wyoming Junior Rodeo Association comes to town.

Things kick off on Saturday morning at 10 a.m. and Sunday at 9 a.m. as well as a Cowboy Church Service on Sunday morning at 7:30 a.m.

You’ll see junior and senior steer riding, senior calf tying, junior and senior boys and girls breakaway, junior and senior team roping, goat tying, pole bending and barrel racing throughout the two-day event.

With a goal of not only preparing kids for a future in rodeo, the WJRA teaches a spirit of fair competition and an appreciation for good sportsmanship. Juniors on the circuit are 7 – 10-years old with seniors being 11-15.
