Plan ahead for holiday mailing deadlines

Some folks are the highly organized types who have already mailed off their Christmas cards or gifts while others procrastinate until the very last minute.

If you fall into the latter category, the U.S. Postal Service has set their deadlines for packages to arrive at their destination by Christmas Eve.

First class packages must be mailed out by Dec. 19, with priority mail leaving by Dec. 20. Priority mail express will give you a couple of extra days as they don’t need to leave until Dec. 22.

If you are sending mail or packages to someone in the military, an APO/FPO/DPO address, you have only until Dec. 11 to get them shipped.
