Tuesday, Aug. 29

6:05 p.m. Report of a vehicle driving recklessly.

Wednesday, Aug. 30

8:19 a.m. A business reported a shoplifter. After reviewing video, the subject was identified, contacted and cited.

11:26 a.m. Subject reported losing a firearm on Cowboy Mine Road.

12:32 p.m. A subject was cited for possession of marijuana.

6:35 p.m. Report of cows out on the highway. The cows were back in their pasture by the time the deputy arrived.

7:51 p.m. Report of cows out. They were put back in their pasture.

Thursday, Aug. 31

10:43 a.m. Report of a subject hitting a gas pump. There was minor damage.

3:49 p.m. Deputy performed an assist to Department of Family Services.

5:18 p.m. Assist provided to a subject who needed a ride to the gas station and back.

Friday, Sept. 1

11:39 a.m. Report of an emaciated dog which appeared to have been dumped in the buffalo pasture. The dog was picked up by the deputy.

4:37 p.m. Welfare check was requested on a subject who was found to be OK.

7:26 p.m. Report of a dog on the highway which either jumped or fell from a vehicle.

Saturday, Sept. 2

3:50 a.m. Report of a drunk driver in the Red Lane area. Michael Gerber was arrested for alleged driving under the influence.

3:14 p.m. Reported dispute at a business. The subjects involved were gone before the deputy arrived.

3:47 p.m. Caller reported subjects on the terraces. The deputy could not locate anyone near or on the terraces when he arrived.

9:52 p.m. Report of a suspicious vehicle, though a vehicle matching the description could not be found.

Monday, Sept. 4

11:45 a.m. Report of a vehicle that was taken and not returned. The vehicle was later located and returned to the owner.

8:45 p.m. Report of subjects arguing. The argument was only verbal in nature and was settled.

Tuesday, Aug. 29

9 a.m. Report of a vehicle striking an overhead bar at a business.

9:28 a.m. Complainant reported seeing a blue, powdery substance that was in a clear plastic bag. The substance was not a narcotic and the bag was properly disposed of.

10:03 a.m. Civil standby provided as a subject tried to get a spouse into a vehicle to be transported for treatment.

2:55 p.m. Report of a subject from another community contacting a business in an attempt to get an employee fired. The subject was contacted and warned about such actions.

4:12 p.m. Report of a violation at a crosswalk with a crossing guard. The matter is under investigation.

4:43 p.m. Complainant reported a near miss accident with a vehicle, and reported the other party may not be fit to drive.

Wednesday, Aug. 30

1:13 a.m. A dog at large was impounded and its owner cited.

1:55 p.m. Report of a two vehicle collision. A state accident report was completed.

8:40 p.m. Subject wanted to report harassment by an intoxicated subject. The subject in question was not at the location anymore, but was later found and he is no longer welcome at the complainant’s residence.

9:58 p.m. Response to a domestic situation. Jennifer Ulanowski was arrested for alleged domestic battery.

10 p.m. Subject requested a trespassing notice be served on a second subject.

10:23 p.m. Report of a dispute between relatives. The matter was diffused.

Thursday, Aug. 31

8:56 a.m. Report of a stolen chainsaw.

11:44 a.m. Report of a possible protection order violation. After investigation, it was felt the violation was not intentional.

12:21 p.m. A traffic stop resulted in female subject being cited for possession of marijuana.

12:59 p.m. Complainant reported receiving a Social Security scam call and was advised of what steps to take.

5:09 p.m. Report of a theft. The matter was deemed civil in nature.

8:29 p.m. Caller reported suspicious activity and requested extra patrol.

9:11 p.m. Report of a vehicle driving erratically. The suspect vehicle could not be found.

Friday, Sept. 1

3:30 a.m. Report of a vehicle with a door open. The officer responded, noted it appeared nothing was disturbed and closed the door.

10:32 a.m. A dog was found running at large. The person who located the animal decided to hold onto it until the owner can be located.

11:18 a.m. Report of a nuisance yard. The owner was already cutting the grass when the officer arrived.

12:39 p.m. Officer responded to a harassment call, which was deemed civil in nature.

3:04 p.m. Report of an intoxicated male subject. The subject was calm, but became aggressive when officers left. Gary Sigman was arrested for alleged breach of peace.

11:21 p.m. A female subject reportedly broke a window with a wrench. After investigation it was apparent the subject had been locked out of the apartment where she was staying.

Saturday, Sept. 2

9:44 a.m. Subject violated condition of a bond. A report was sent to the county attorney’s office.

11:45 a.m. Report of an unruly youth. The subject was spoken to and the matter was resolved.

5:55 p.m. Officer responded to an ongoing dispute between a landlord and tenant. The underlying issue is civil in nature.

9:28 p.m. Complainant reported smelling smoke at a location. The responding officer did not see anything.

9:41 p.m. REDDI report, with the vehicle located but the officer was unable to establish if it was being driven dangerously.

Sunday, Sept. 3

10:09 a.m. A subject was cited for reckless driving.

11:25 a.m. Assistance requested for an unruly patient at a local facility.

12:03 p.m. Subjects were found in possession of prescription drugs and syringes. Information was forwarded to the county attorney’s office.

2:47 p.m. A landlord requested an officer look over a property for signs it was used to manufacture meth. No such indicators were found.

3:17 p.m. Subject reported his wife was getting harassing text messages. The sender was contacted and warned.

3:57 p.m. Report of a subject pulling a plastic irrigation pipe out of the ground.

6:36 p.m. A juvenile was cited for littering from a vehicle and possession of marijuana.

8:06 p.m. Report of a subject violating a bond condition. The matter was forwarded to the county attorney’s office.

Monday, Sept. 4

1:05 p.m. A business requested an individual be trespassed.

1:57 p.m. Report of a speeding vehicle in town. The suspect vehicle could not be located.

4:23 p.m. A dog at large was impounded.

Circuit court

Deanna Morgan was found guilty of criminal trespassing. Fees and fines are $190.

Jennifer Smith was found guilty of driving under suspension. Fees and fines are $435.

Births

Kevin Dale Miller was born Sunday, August 20, 2017, at West Park Hospital to Keriann Krueger and Sean Miller.

He weighed 8 pounds, 11 ounces, and was 21 inches long.

Grandparents are Sharran Krueger, Justina Hensley and Sara Cheatham.

Ava May Whitt was born Friday, September 1, 2017, at Hot Springs County Memorial Hospital to Justine and Riley Whitt of Thermopolis, Wyo.

She weighed 8 pounds, 7 ounces, and was 21.25 inches long.

Grandparents are Mark and Pepper Whitt and Clay and Meredith VanAntwerp of Thermopolis, Wyo., and David and Rene Henard of Fenton, Mich.
