Blood drive set for Monday

The Honoring Our Fallen Heroes Blood Drive is scheduled for Monday, Sept. 11 from 3-7 p.m. at the Hot Springs County Senior Center.

According to information from Wyoming United Blood Services, 200 pints were sent to those areas impacted by Hurricane Harvey. Though more units are needed in those areas, the large movement of blood has also diminished local supplies. That means blood donations in the next couple weeks are extremely important, and existing as well as first time donors are encouraged to make and keep appointments.

Though appointments are encouraged, walk-ins at the blood drive are also accepted. To make an appointment, log on to http://www.bloodhero.com with sponsor code “thermopolis,” or contact Melene at 307-240-1414. Walk ins are welcome, and donating blood is a way to show appreciation for our fallen soldiers and their families.
